Most creators' sponsored posts underperform their organic content. Mine outperform. In my current format, my three highest-performing reels are all brand promotions.
Promotional content performance
Top four performing reels in my current format: 523K, 382K, 339K (OnePrep SAT series) and 320K (IB English, organic).

Campaign performance
These reels ran an explicit call to action: comment a keyword, receive the resource by DM, with delivery automated through OpenReply, an Instagram comment-to-DM tool I built. The response figures below reflect campaigns with an active CTA and are not an average across all posts.
Campaign figures reflect reels running an active call to action. They are not an average across all posts, and the reel above was my own product launch rather than a client campaign.
Series · OnePrep SAT
Three reels, three results
OnePrep wanted their SAT resources in front of students. I ran three reels across one campaign instead of betting the budget on a single post. Every one of the three beat my organic baseline by four to six times, which is the part that matters: the result repeated.
OnePrep, SAT resource series (3-reel series)
1.2M views
523K + 339K + 382K across three reels
Three-reel series over one campaign. Largest campaign result to date.
Series · OpenReply launch
A launch other people retold
OpenReply is an open-source alternative to ManyChat: comment a keyword on a reel, get the resource by DM. I built it in a day and launched it with one reel on my own account. What happened next was not on my account at all, as other creators started making their own videos about it.
I can't promise every campaign does this. I can show you that it happened.

CTA campaigns are priced above standard reels because they deliver a measurable action, not impressions. Delivery is automated through OpenReply, which I build and operate, so there is no third-party tool cost passed to you.
